This is my testimony of being in TEAM BEREA. Since I’ve been committed to TEAM BEREA, I’ve had to change a lot about myself. How I act, what I say and why I say it. Since I received my dog tags, it’s been a constant reminder not to fall into the ways of the world, and not to fall into the fleshly desires. The greatest thing I’ve changed is not doing drugs. I’ve smoked marijuana for awhile. I started when I was twelve or thirteen. I started going to church then it was off and on when I came to TEAM BEREA I didn’t want to be a hypocrite anymore. The whole “I am a Christian but I smoke weed” thing was going to change. We were worshiping in a way that I’ve never done before, then “I was high man!” I’ve made a commitment not to go back.To God be the glory.

The blessing I will never forget is when I first came to TEAM BEREA, My story begins when I heard about it I wasn’t following Christ at the time and I thought it was stupid, my little brother told me I need to go but I ignored him but he kept telling me. Then a little later friends were telling me to go but I told them no. I would make up excuses but still thought it was stupid. About three weeks later people kept telling me to go then I told them I didn’t want anything to do with there nonsense that night I was sitting down looking at a magazine and I felt something tugging at my heart telling me to go and see what if it was really something I would like. So I agreed to go see what it’s like. The day I went was the day they were fasting. I stayed and it turned out well and little did I know that my life would be changed forever four months later I was Honored as a true Berean I would have never thought I would have got this far, though through this I have gotten closer to my brother and my friends if it wasn’t for them I would still be saying no but instead I said Yes.

I personally think that I have changed in TEAM BEREA. I have learned more about God and who He is. I am more confidant in my walk with Jesus. I used to hardly ever open my Bible. Now I read it just about every day. I can feel God more. I am now positive of what we must do to go to heaven. I am happier in my life. I feel that I am nicer to my family. I don’t pick on my siblings as much. I am still hoping to know God even more. I can’t get enough of Him any more.

Life is like a roller coaster! It has its ups and downs, but the most scary part of all is its turns because you never know where those will take you one day your life can be going one way and then everything can change in an instant. My life has been one never-ending roller coaster ever since I accepted Christ into my life. God has brought me a long way in life; to places I would of never imagined being.
